"Dear Friends,
I want to thank all the speakers at the event, held Nov. 21, during the "day of the black cat." You noticed in many despite everything, that despite the storm and flooding on the same day that have paralyzed the city. At the end of the day, when the last visitor has gone up in his car and walked away, we looked around and we felt a little 'alone, dazed by the clamor that had accompanied us throughout the afternoon, we were tired but happy I met so many loyal friends and have made new acquaintances, all people who love cats and driven by a desire to change, to cast behind behind many absurd superstitions.
Of course, if the weather had been more lenient, we recorded the busiest and we would not have suffered the forced defection of guests such as Hon. CirinnĂ Monica, who called to inform me that was blocked by flooding on the Ring Road and dr. Giuseppe Cariola, medical veterinarian veterinary hospital kennel of Muratella, sick for days. Moreover, there has been possible to group these in a suitable space in which people could give voice to some of those present, as Dr. Marcello Visca, Director of Rights Animal of the City of Rome, Hon. Annamaria Procacci, Hon. Salvatore Bonadonna and other legitimate representatives of our particular animal world. All this happened while our cats blacks, with their beautiful red or yellow flakes, lounging in warm covers.
I thank Dr. Lorenzo Croce, president de l 'AIDA (Italian Association for Animal Protection and Environment) in 2007 for having created this "event" that wants to focus on the problem of the killing and disappearance of about 30,000 cats every blacks year, which just for the Halloween festivities reached its peak. Thank you, Dr. Cross, for having created a holiday so special for these Panthers home. We sail in space, science makes progress continues but the man still can not get rid of the "superstitions", it is sad!
thank all the volunteers who take turns in caring for these our beloved cats, and that, even in a hectic day as the one just ended, did their best with friendly and competent and I thank the veterinarians who have agreed to Friends visit us to see our new medical center, where we can better assist and care for our sick cats and I thank our cats who patiently spent the day accepting pampering by so many friendly hands.
